Recently under new management our four star Lodge is renowned for its exceptional personal service and intimate atmosphere.

Situated in Mpumalanga Province in the "Wild Frontier" region, Royal Kruger Lodge is just beyond the Crocodile River, which forms a natural border to Kruger National Park. Royal Kruger Lodge is conveniently located 45 minutes from Kruger Mpumalanga International airport or 4 hours scenic drive from Johannesburg.

The wildlife thrives in this part of South Africa and we can boast around 60 species of mammals, nearly 500 species of birds as well as numerous species of reptiles. All the animals are free roaming. Guests are greeted by majestic African sunrises and sunsets and the close proximity to Kruger Park allows one the enjoyment of viewing wildlife right outside our door and the bush around the Lodge.

Our four star accommodations are elegantly decorated in African-style décor, enhancing the ambience. The 10 deluxe air-conditioned suites are positioned in such a way as to offer the most privacy to our guests as well as providing the best views the bush has to offer. All suites are equipped with mosquito nets and the luxurious bathrooms are en-suite.

Our professional staff has been specifically trained to cater to our guests every need. Meals are prepared by our renowned chef and in the evenings a silver service dinner is served in the outdoor boma where guests can feast under starlit skies.

In the main area of the lodge, guests enjoy breakfast in the indoor dining area before the days events begin. Upon their return, guests can relax in the lounge and enjoy a drink at the exquisite hand made bar. Alongside the lounge is the beautiful veranda where guests can sit back and take advantage of further animal viewing and bird watching or take a refreshing swim in the pool.

The Lodge
Suites:
The 10 luxury appointed air-conditioned suites are elegantly decorated in African style décor, enhancing the ambience and leaving an everlasting impression.

The rooms are positioned in such a way as to offer the most privacy to our guests as well as providing the best views the bush has to offer.

All suites have luxurious en-suite bathrooms equipped with a huge bathtub where one can relax after an exciting day on safari. Each suite is air-conditioned and equipped with mosquito nets.

For the more adventurous person who is looking to get closer to nature, there is an outdoor shower facility.

Main Lodge:
The main Lodge continues the African theme of décor with an exquisite hand made bar. The bar is licensed and fully stocked catering to the varied tastes of international travellers. The lounge area adjoins the bar and offers guest the opportunity to relax in comfortable African style log furniture. Guests can discuss the events of the day as they sit back and enjoy a cool refreshing beverage. Alongside the Lounge is the indoor dining area where breakfast is served, and dinners on request.

At the side of the Lodge is our beautiful covered veranda overlooking the pool. Guests can sit back and watch several species of birds and view further game right outside the Lodge!

The refreshing pool offers Guests the chance to cool off and relax on our lounge chairs after an exciting day of safari.

Boma:
Just a few short steps from the Lodge is our famous outdoor Boma, where a four course silver service dinner is served nightly under starlit skies. The meals are prepared by our professional chef and cater to the needs of each individual guest.

Terms and Conditions:
Prices are based on a per person basis shared accommodation. Children under 12 sharing with adult pay 60% of package rate. Additional game activities such as bush walks, Mozambique or Swaziland day trips and tiger fishing are available at an extra cost.

Example Itinerary for Packages
Day One
Arrive at Royal Kruger Lodge. Time permitting; we shall do an afternoon game drive in Kruger National Park. Upon return to Royal Kruger Lodge, dine under starlit skies in our outdoor boma experiencing fine African cuisine. Overnight at Royal Kruger Lodge in four star air-conditioned comfort.

Day Two
Early morning breakfast in the dining area then depart from Royal Kruger Lodge to the Kruger National Park for a full day game drive in an open game vehicle. Our experienced Ranger will leisurely drive through herds of impala, wildebeest, numerous zebra and giraffe, all the while keeping an eagle eye out for lion, elephant, hippo, rhino, buffalo and the elusive leopard. We shall pause for photographic opportunities and drive to various waterholes where we shall wait in silence for the various game coming to slake their thirst. Return to the lodge in the late afternoon and relax on the outdoor patio and view further scenes of nature or take a refreshing swim in the pool. Dine once again under starlit skies in our outdoor boma tasting fine African cuisine. Overnight at Royal Kruger Lodge in four star air-conditioned comfort.

Day Three
Early morning breakfast in the dining area then depart from Royal Kruger Lodge to the Kruger National Park for a full day game drive in an open game vehicle. In addition to viewing various African game, our experienced Ranger will point out other breathtaking scenes of nature and wildlife. View different landscapes ranging from bushveld, sandveld, open savanna and riverine forests. Return to Royal Kruger Lodge in late afternoon to enjoy leisure activities and discuss the day's events. Experience excellent African cuisine, once again, under starlit skies in our outdoor boma. Overnight at Royal Kruger Lodge in four star air-conditioned comfort.

Day Four
On our last day, we shall do an early morning game drive, wishing our animal friends farewell. After breakfast, return home.

Note:
Guests arriving by air transfers are picked up at either Malelane or Nelspruit Airports and time permitting will be taken on a game drive. On the day of departure, guests will be taken on an early morning game drive en route to the airport.
